Founded way back in 1957 and held every four years, the “Mondial du Théâtre” is far from your average festival. Organized by Studio de Monaco and backed by the Prince’s Government, this international gathering proudly rejects the spirit of competition – a true rarity in today’s world! Instead of rivalry, it celebrates the power of theatre as a tool for intercultural dialogue, where each performance becomes a bridge between nations.

This year, eighteen countries spanning five continents will send their amateur troupes, each bringing their unique vision of theatrical art. Performances and practical details
Performances will take place at two key venues in Monaco: the Théâtre des Variétés and the Théâtre Princesse Grace. Each troupe will perform twice, over two consecutive evenings, starting at 6 p.m. Three shows will be staged each night, with thirty-minute intervals between them to allow for quick scenery and costume changes. And, as always, entry is completely free – but with such a rich program on offer, early arrival is highly recommended to secure your spot in this theatrical paradise!
