On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco transforms into a vibrant playground of science, stories, and sea life for the 5th edition of its beloved “Fête du Musée” — a full-day celebration dedicated to reconnecting families and children with the magic and mystery of the ocean.

From 10:00 to 19:00, visitors will dive into a rich program of games, workshops, live performances, and hands-on activities, all designed to inspire ocean awareness and eco-conscious curiosity.

From curiosity to conservation: A day for all ages

Organized by the Association of Friends of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (AAMOM), this year’s edition follows the momentum of the recent UN Ocean Conference in Nice, aiming to turn global goals into local impact. Through playful experiences and engaging interactions, the event encourages young minds — and their families — to become passionate stewards of the sea.

With a valid museum ticket, guests can enjoy:

  • Treasure hunts and science experiments
  • Storytelling sessions and live theater
  • Ocean-themed sports, eco-art workshops, and local tastings

Whether you’re crafting coral out of recycled materials or listening to marine myths brought to life on stage, every moment is an invitation to learn, imagine, and protect.

AAMOM members enjoy free access and can deepen their involvement year-round through memberships, donations, and even symbolic animal adoptions that support marine conservation.

A journey into the future: Explore Méditerranée 2050

A centerpiece of the celebration is the stunning immersive exhibition “Méditerranée 2050” — an ambitious, 1,000m² installation that transports visitors from the sea’s ancient past to an imagined, flourishing future. Through interactive displays and dramatic visuals, the exhibit envisions what a truly protected Mediterranean could look like by mid-century.

It’s not just a showcase — it’s a call to action, echoing Monaco’s century-long dedication to ocean preservation, championed today by Prince Albert II and rooted in the pioneering legacy of Prince Albert I.

Where wonder meets responsibility

The Fête du Musée is more than a festival — it’s a living expression of Monaco’s deep bond with the sea. Blending education, creativity, and joy, the event invites each visitor to become part of something bigger: a movement to know, love, and protect our blue planet.

So mark your calendar, bring the whole family, and come celebrate the ocean — the Monaco way.
