If you’re a lover of the written word, the upcoming weekend of September 6th and 7th offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of literature. The prestigious Grimaldi Forum in Monaco will host the International Book Fair, an event that brings together authors, readers, and all book enthusiasts.
Under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, this esteemed literary event is organized by the association Les Rencontres Littéraires Fabian Boisson, led by Yvette Gazza-Cellario. It’s a place where literature is celebrated through lively debates, round tables, and intimate “literary cafés” designed for writers and readers to meet directly.
A vibrant hub of literary life

This fair is much more than just an exhibition—it’s a vibrant hub of literary life. With over 150 international authors expected to attend, visitors will have a rare chance to meet their favorite writers directly. Through personal encounters, discussions, and literary cafes, attendees can hear firsthand about authors’ inspirations, their writing process, and the stories behind their works.
A rich program for all
The literary cafes provide a relaxed atmosphere for informal conversations, while official panels and discussions will cover current topics from the world of literature and art. Whether you enjoy classic literature, modern novels, poetry, or non-fiction, the Monaco International Book Fair offers a rich program for everyone.
This year, the fair proudly presents the Prix Pythéas, a new literary prize dedicated to the spirit of adventure. The award, named after Pytheas, the ancient Greek explorer, honors a book or travelogue published in French (original or translation) between June 2024 and June 2025. The winner will be revealed on Sunday at the fair.
