MONTE CARLO – The Ibero-American Monegasque Association (AMI) hosted its Annual Diplomatic Gastronomy Gala on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, at the Yacht Club of Monaco, spotlighting Peru’s rich cultural and culinary heritage. The evening, a vibrant tribute to intercultural dialogue and humanitarian spirit, drew an esteemed audience and showcased the profound bonds between Monaco and Latin America.
Representing His Serene Highness Prince Albert II was Mr. Vincent Floreani, the Prince’s Chamberlain. The event also welcomed numerous members of the Peruvian diplomatic corps, including Mr. Rolando Ruiz Rosas, Ambassador of Peru to France and Monaco; Mr. Jean-Baptiste Pastor, Honorary Consul of Peru in Monaco; Ms. Neiza Rodríguez, Consul of Peru in Monaco; and Ms. Rosario Pajuelo, Director of PROMPERÚ for France and Switzerland.

Also in attendance were prominent Monegasque figures such as Mr. Pascal Granero, Director of the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation; Mr. Guy Antognelli, Director of Tourism and Congresses; Mr. Guillaume Rose, Director General of the Monaco Economic Board; and representatives from key government and educational institutions.
Peruvian gastronomy took center stage thanks to the culinary excellence of chef Lourdes Pluvinage and her son Christophe, the French Pisco Sour Champion. With support from sous chef Bruno Bertello, the team presented a menu that celebrated authentic Peruvian flavors, complemented by Pisco 1615 cocktails.
The cultural program featured traditional dances performed by Club Libertad’s Monaco branch and Imágenes Perú, representing Peru’s coast, mountains, and jungle. Fashion and heritage were also celebrated through a showcase of traditional Peruvian attire curated by Gloria Bellido and a runway presentation by designer Juan José Ferreyros.
Further bridging cultures through education, students from Rainier III High School actively participated in the gala. The day before, a Peruvian cooking and mixology masterclass was held at the school, providing students with hands-on experience in Latin American culinary traditions.
AMI President Ms. Sheramin Beauseigneur expressed her heartfelt thanks to her team and collaborators, including Vice President Ms. Susana Perdiguero de Segovia, Public Relations Manager Ms. Samira Bezerra, Treasurer Ms. Lula Pagès, and culinary events representative Mr. Dave Narváez.
More than a celebration, the gala served a charitable mission: raising funds to support vulnerable children across Latin America in areas such as nutrition, education, and sports. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit AMI’s initiatives to improve young lives and build brighter futures.
Founded in 2022, AMI continues to foster cultural exchange and solidarity between Monaco and the Ibero-American world, enriching the Principality’s cultural landscape through its commitment to education, heritage, and humanitarian action.
