Monaco, 18 May 2025 – In an ongoing commitment to promoting responsible nightlife, Be Safe Monaco, the Monegasque Red Cross, and Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) have reaffirmed their partnership ahead of Monaco’s busy summer season.
On Monday, May 12, Stéphane Valeri, Deputy President of SBM, and Camille Gottlieb, founder of Be Safe Monaco, gathered at Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo to relaunch their collaborative effort. First introduced in 2017, the initiative offers free night shuttle services to help individuals get home safely when they are unable to drive, reducing alcohol-related risks across Monaco and its surrounding municipalities.

For the 2025 season, running from July 1 to August 31, SBM will assign two of its employees nightly to operate the Be Safe shuttles between midnight and 5 a.m. In 2024, this support allowed 355 people to benefit from a secure ride home.
Be Safe Monaco continues to cover insurance and operational costs and has also launched a new awareness campaign directed at seasonal nightclub staff. Each shuttle will again be accompanied by a BOSS Sécurité officer to ensure passenger safety.
Innovative safety tools in SBM clubs
Adding another layer of protection, the Monegasque Red Cross has donated 3,000 reusable silicone drink covers (produced by French company DrinkWatch) to venues operated by SBM. These caps are designed to prevent drink spiking and reduce spillage. They will be distributed at iconic nightlife spots such as:
- Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo
- Amazónico Monte-Carlo
- La Rascasse
- Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo
- COYA Monte-Carlo
- Selva Monte-Carlo
United front for public safety
The announcement event was attended by key representatives from all three partners, including Charlotte Marsan (Be Safe Monaco), Yann Bertrand and Dominique Martet (Red Cross), and Virginie Cotta, SBM’s Secretary General for CSR, along with nightclub directors and staff.

This joint initiative reflects Monaco’s growing commitment to responsible entertainment and public safety — not just through transportation, but also through preventive education and proactive in-club safety measures.
