Get ready to experience the Monaco’s Green Shift Festival! Back for its highly anticipated third edition this June, the event will transform the Promenade du Larvotto into a vibrant hub for dialogue, art, and crucial ecological action. Organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, this free, three-day festival runs from June 4th to 6th, opening its doors to the public each evening from 6 PM.
Now a firm fixture on the Principality’s summer calendar, the festival masterfully blends live performances, insightful expert talks, and engaging cultural experiences. Its aim is to spark fresh perspectives and inspire action towards a more sustainable environment.
Themed evenings and daily delights

Each night of the festival promises a distinct and thought-provoking theme:
- The opening evening, aptly titled “Welcome to 2050,” will use captivating storytelling and performances to paint a picture of a future shaped by successful ecological transition.
- On June 5th, “At the Heart of the Living World” will delve into humanity’s profound interdependence with nature.
- The grand finale, “Music & Ecology,” will bring together artists and activists to explore how sound and creativity can champion climate awareness.
Beyond the main themes, the Monaco Green Shift Festival offers daily “Happy Hours” starting at 6 PM, showcasing local green initiatives. This is followed by dynamic performances from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, and then DJ sets and sustainable street food until 10 PM, creating a lively atmosphere. Attendees can also engage with a collaborative art installation and participate in morning wellness sessions, generously supported by the Kate Powers Foundation. A highlight of the final evening will be the opening of the 2025 Environmental Photography Award exhibition, with the grand prize winner in attendance.
Driving a harmonious balance: The Foundation’s vision
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation champions the mission to transform our relationship with nature for a healthier, more sustainable tomorrow. Its core objective is to foster a harmonious balance between humanity and our environment, vital for our planet’s well-being. This ambition is brought to life through The Green Shift Initiative, which adopts a holistic, multidisciplinary approach, seamlessly blending science, culture, and art.
In the event of rain, the Monaco Green Shift Festival will gracefully shift to the Rainier III Auditorium or the Monaco Multimedia Library, ensuring the festivities continue uninterrupted.
